Afterschool Program at Mountain View Middle School PDF Print E-mail

A wonderful and affordable opportunity for middle school students to spend time with their friends, do homework, get homework help, practice photography, cooking, arts & crafts, recreational activities and other life skills. This is a state licensed afterschool program that serves up to 200 MVMS students per year, with an average daily attendance of about 50 students per day. Students who are enrolled enjoy a healthy snack and fun activities in a safe, supervised environment on the MVMS campus every day afterschool from 3pm to 6pm, including early-release days. This subsidized program is funded primarily through grants and tuitions and scholarships are available to those in need.

DreamCatchers PDF Print E-mail

Dream Catchers, a group founded in 1995 by two teenagers who struggled with disabilities, provides ongoing activities and the opportunity for special needs kids to meet others and develop friendships. Group members range in age from fourth grade through high school from Goffstown, Dunbarton and New Boston.

Juvenile Diversion Program PDF Print E-mail

The Juvenile Diversion Program offers first-time juvenile offenders a way to make right whatever wrong they’ve done while by-passing court proceedings and a criminal record. The offending youths must admit their guilt to be accepted into the program and are given a contract of specific consequences to complete within a specified time frame.

Contracts of Consequences may included: performing community service, paying restitution, writing letters of apologies, writing research papers, completing drug and alcohol education courses, performing in home drug testing under parental supervision and complete counseling session.

This is a lively 6 week video-based parenting course where parents receive strategies & support on how to continue to build a positive relationship with their teens. VolunTEENS PDF Print E-mail

VolunTEENS is a group of committed youths that volunteer their time to various agencies and organizations in the community. Volunteering helps build connections in the community and looks great on a job resume or college application. Nonrprofit agencies that can benefit from teen volunteers, whether it is for ongoing services or needing help with events, please call Karen to explore the benefits of teen volunteers.

Youth Attendant Program PDF Print E-mail

This program provides temporary foster care for juveniles who are in custody, but not under arrest. Attendants are called by area police departments when they have a juvenile in custody and no adult family member or guardian can take immediate care of the child. This may include a baby whose parents were injured in an auto accident or children whose parents are under arrest, or even run-away teenagers.
